A flat radial diagram encodes data along one plane: angle (0–360°) × radius. Every spoke, ring and segment exists on a single flat surface — like a clock face.
Rotate that circle into a sphere and suddenly every coordinate becomes (θ longitude × φ latitude × r radius × t time). A single point in the 2D diagram now becomes a great circle of data around the orb.
In VR, a user stands inside the orb. The word "SUPERCALIFRAGILISTICEXPIALIDOCIOUS" becomes the root node at the core — each syllable spawns a shell layer, each phoneme a longitude line. The full 34-character word maps 34 shells × 360° × 360° = 4.4 million addressable data positions from a single spoken word.
Compress data into colour, opacity, pulse frequency, resonance, and shell depth and you're encoding 7 independent data channels per spatial coordinate — inside an object you could hold in your palm in VR.
